Inaugural Meeting of South and Southeast Asian University Network Sub-committee of Chinese Language Education

& Seminar on Chinese Language Education (Notification No.2)

Yunnan University proposed the establishment of the South & Southeast Asian University Network, a regional platform for international cooperation in higher education, in the city of Kunming on Dec 10, 2018. It is committed to promoting people-to-people exchanges between China and South and Southeast Asia countries. In order to better serve the development of Chinese language education in South and Southeast Asia, and to promote cooperation in faculty training, international exchanges and academic research, Yunnan University plans to hold the Inaugural Meeting of South and Southeast Asian University Network Sub-committee of Chinese Language Education & Seminar on Chinese Language Education on Sept 22-25, 2023. The meeting will be held both online and offline. We sincerely invite Chinese language education experts and scholars from China and South and Southeast countries to attend the event!

Topics

1. New needs of Chinese language education in South and Southeast Asia and education for Generation Z

2. Talent training and the development and publication of textbooks for Chinese language education in South and Southeast Asia against the background of the "new liberal arts"

3. Teaching and research of Chinese literature in South and Southeast Asia

4. Cross-university cooperation and platform construction between China and South and Southeast Asia

5. Other relevant topics

Paper Requirements

Experts and scholars are requested to submit the topics and abstracts of their speeches or papers on the topics above. Please send a Registration Form to the conference email address before Aug 20. We will notify the acceptance of the speeches/papers and issue a formal invitation letter before Aug 25. Please submit the full text of your speech/paper to the conference email address before Sept 10.

Fees

No registration fees will be charged for this conference. Meals will be provided by the organizer. Please ensure that participants pay for their round-trip transportation and accommodation.

Arrive on Sept 22; attend the conference on Sept 23-24; and depart on Sept 25
